Double Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Take a traditional Christmas cookie and add dark chocolate cocoa and dark chocolate chips and you have a soft, delicious brownie like cookie. Rolled in a double sugar mixture, these are bound to be a hit for the holidays.

1/2 cup of butter 1/2 cup of sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 large egg at room temperature

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup of flour

1/2 cup plus

2 Tbsp of cocoa powder ( I used dark cocoa powder)

1 tsp baking soda

1 cup of dark chocolate chips ) or you can use milk chocolate)

Rolling:

3 Tbsp Granulated sugar

1 cup of confectioners sugar

Instructions

In a large bowl, or mixer, combine all of the ingredients for the cookies, it will be very sticky, a stand mixer is recommended. Cool for a minimum of 3 hours before rolling into balls. Roll the balls in the granulated sugar, then coat in the powdered sugar. Bake at 350 for 12-13 minutes.
